Wei FAN
Welcome! I’m a Ph.D. student supervised by Prof.Yangqiu Song in Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). Before that, I got my B.Eng. degree in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) and M.Sc. in Big Data Technology from HKUST. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to discuss my research further.
News
- Nov 2024: Our paper on legal grounding in privacy domain has been awarded the outstanding paper 🏆 at EMNLP 2024!
- Sep 2024: Three papers are accepted by EMNLP 2024. Topics cover legal alignment, theory of mind, and text-to-table summarization. See you in Miami!
- May 2024: Two papers are accepted by ACL 2024. Topics cover abstract knowledge and differential privacy. See you in Thailand!
- Mar 2024: One paper is accepted by DASFAA 2024. Topics cover hierarchical reinforcement learning and conversational recommendation. Welcome to my oral presentation in Gifu, Japan.
- Aug 2023: Attending IJCAI 2023 at Macao as a student volunteer.
Research Interest
My primary research focus is on retrieval and logical reasoning, with a special interest in the theory and application of legal NLP, large-scale knowledge graphs, and recommender systems.
